9:34 a.m. - Reporting party states a Ford Ranger passed him, cut him off and almost hit him. Officers responded and spoke with all involved parties. Reporting party sent on his way after calming him down. Conflicting stories from both parties. Operator of Ranger was advised of the complaint, he wanted it on record about reporting party’s aggressive behavior in case something happens.
10:32 p.m. - Caller inquiring about noises in the area of Kings James Court. Caller stated it sounded like thunder but it was not raining outside. Caller advised it was most likely fireworks due to it being New Years.
11:50 p.m. - Caller from Oak Drive stated there were still hunters in the area hunting late at night as they heard what they believed were gunshots. Caller advised that there were fireworks due to New Years and Starry Starry Night but they still believed it was gunshots. Officers checked area, no issues noted.
12:52 p.m. Cow in the road near the field where Garlic Fest is held. Owner contacted and is aware of the situation, he is trying to get it back.
8:49 a.m. - Officer flagged down by a motorist who reports people are walking their dog in South Cemetery on Sundays around 7 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. Same would like Police Department to do something. Office advised it will be documented.
9:21 a.m. - Cumberland Farms employee turned in a cell phone which was found at the bus stop. Services rendered.
11:26 a.m. Gray Kia sedan taking pictures of houses from driveways on W. River Street. Vehicle was located on Holtshire Road. Operator works for the bank inspecting houses.
1:21 a.m. - Attempting to serve a probation warrant on Cheney Street. Arrested James Douglas Quirk, 49 on a probation warrant.

6:02 p.m. - Officer on patrol observed a large piece of furniture on the roadway in the area of New Athol Road and East Road. Furniture fell off pickup truck and owner assisted the officer with moving it out of the roadway.
6:50 p.m. - Reporting party from E. River Street reporting a strange object hovering in the sky near the airport. She advised there was no noise it just hovers and she saw it split in two. She was asked if it could possibly be a drone but she was not sure. Attempted to locate it again with binoculars. Officer was in the area at the time of the call. Nothing was seen or located.
5:24 p.m. - Reporting party from Hamilton Avenue advises the neighbor across the street was setting off fireworks and set their yard on fire. No structures involved. Officers responded and determined a firework had been set off in the roadway. An individual witnessed a tall, skinny black male light it off and then run into the second floor apartment of the above location. Another tenant in the apartment refused to identify the male party involved. The Fire Department confirmed the grass had been extinguished. No further action will be taken at this time.
11:38 a.m. - Officer took a report of a truck towing another truck with a chain on E. Main Street. Vehicle has been moved to the Armory parking lot at this time.
1:08 p.m. - While on patrol officer observed a vehicle hit an occupied parked car at a very low speed in front of the post office on South Main Street. Officer spoke with both owners and determined there was no visible damage to ether vehicle. Both owners advised the incident would be on record.
5:01 p.m. - Reporting party requesting an officer respond as she believes she was scammed out of a lot of money today. She wanted to speak with an officer about money she had sent via Venmo to an individual in Gardner to assist with temporary shelter for a homeless family that she knows. She believed it may have been a scam and requested that individual send her money back via Venmo. Same was done and she just wanted the incident in record.
8:54 a.m. - Brent E. Sulham, 46, was arrested on Wheeler Avenue for a warrant.
10:25 p.m. - Male party came to the station and was served paperwork in hand. He was explained the order and advised to be at court in the morning for 9 a.m. His LTC was also taken and placed into evidence for the time being. Male does not have any firearms registered in his name.
11:10 a.m. - Party from Brookside Road calling stating her car was gone through. Her wallet, gift card and cigarettes are gone. Not sure when it was gone through, thought it was Wednesday night as she left her vehicle unlocked. She was advised to cancel cards and the incident would be on record. Similar events took place Wednesday evening in the same area with vehicle break ins.
6:17 p.m. - Call into the station requesting to speak with an officer about three rings that he is missing. While speaking with the reporting party, he located the items and denied the need for any police services.
